The Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 last night by way of shootout to clinch their first playoff berth in their club's history. Rick Nash deposited his 39th tally of the year late in the match to tie the game 3-3, and blueliner Fedor Tyutin scored the only goal in the shootout to defeat the Hawks.

The Blue Jackets currently sit 6th in the Western Conference. Congratulations to everyone in Columbus... now put your razors away!
