Rangers Avery has lacerated spleen
Amazing how internet rumors get started huh?
New York Rangers forward Sean Avery will miss the rest of the season with a lacerated spleen.
Contrary to reports that Avery had lost consciousness and had a heart attack, Avery was taken to the hospital where after being administered a CT scan a laceration in his spleen was found. Avery was brought to the hospital after the game 3 loss to the Penguins last night, when he told team doctors that his pain was growing worse.

That's insane. Didn't Forsberg have some spleen issue a while back? Avery's kind of a jerk, but the game is less interesting without him and I never like seeing somebody get hurt in the playoffs. How the hell does one lacerate a spleen anyway? Insane.

I don't know, what about Darcy Tucker?
Todd Bertuzzi?
Marty McSorley?
Chris Simon?
Chris Pronger?
Avery's never intentionally injured another player to my knowledge. And Darcy Tucker's just an ass.

Don't forget Ruutu. Still, I doubt I'll lose any sleep over this one.
