Habs trade Huet to the Caps
Looks as though the future is now in Montreal as the Canadiens have dealt their former number one goaltender Cristobal Huet to the Washington Capitals in exchange for a second round pick.
This trade really shook up the gang at the trade center and may really send shockwaves throughout Montreal. For Washington, the Capitals get a solid presence in net, and gave up very little to get Huet.

In many ways, this was the biggest surprise of the day to me. Just didn't see it coming and hard to understand where all the confidence in Carey Price comes from as they've sent him up and down this season in Montreal. Would've expected a bigger return for Huet, but mostly I'm just surprised that a team as strong as the Canadiens wouldn't want to keep a solid goalie in Huet for their playoff run...

Price is the future of this team, but I'm not certain he will be ready for this playoff drive. This move may end up biting in the Habs in the butt..... but I've been wrong all over the place this season.
