The Phoenix Coyotes claimed goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov off waivers early this morning and is expected to play for the Coyotes this afternoon when they face the Los Angeles Kings. The Coyotes will get a significant upgrade in net from their current tandem of Alex Auld and Mikael Tellqvist in Bryzgalov, and he in turn will get a shot at proving that he can be a legitimate number one goalie in the NHL.

Keep your eyes and ears out for Niedermayer's return from semi-retirement to play for the Anaheim Ducks.
