Sabres headed to the Conference Finals
What a great game. What a great series.
The Buffalo Sabres are truly a gifted group of players. Stacked from top to bottom, and cemented in net. This team has destiny written all over it.
The New York Rangers tried desperately to stave (ahhh our favorite term) off elimination and force a game 7 but it just wasn't to be. Caught in a shootout with Buffalo that saw the Sabre score 4 goals in less than 10 minutes, the Rangers were unable to keep pace and eventually fell 5-4. The Sabres got a big game from Jochen Hecht who scored two including the game winner, Chris Drury scored and added an assist, and Daniel Briere set up three, including the series clincher. The Sabres finished off the Rangers 4-2 in the series.
The New York Rangers took a big step forward again this year, considering they were out of the playoffs by a longshot in February. The team battled hard down the stretch to make the post season, and certainly made their presence felt. Henrik Lundqvist move towards becoming an elite level goaltender and his play late in the season help secure a Vezina Trophy nod. Jaromir Jagr is once again playing some of his best hockey, and has helped Michael Nylander to a pair of career seasons. Rookie Ryan Callahan should be a fun player to watch next year as he blossomed in the post season. Lots to look forward to in the years to come for the boys in blue.
For the Sabres, they once again meet up with the Ottawa Senators which should be an amazing Eastern Conference Final Matchup. The Senators were one of the few teams to give the Sabres difficulty during the regular season (the other being the Habs), and this 7 game series should be a beauty!
Game of the Night:
Detroit at San Jose 9:00 PM
The Red Wings can wrap it all up tonight in San Jose and look forward to taking on the Anaheim Ducks who are already waiting for their opponent. The Sharks will look to do some staving of their own tonight and force a game 7. Enjoy the game!
Your friend on ice,
Captain Bosh

So, I'm out of school, and I don't start my summer job for a week or so...I go out and buy a video game. In this case, Final Fantsay XII.
Imagine my suprise at finding that one of the main characters in the game is named Captain Basch--pronounced exactly the same as "Bosh."
Either I'm pronouncing "Bosh" wrong, or our Cap'n got himself a cameo! And of course, this character sports some beautiful chin fuzz.

There is only one true Captain Bosh.... and it's not even me.... I just pay homage to the great man and his legacy.

It ought to be a great series. Ottawa's given Buffalo more than just a little bit of trouble this year, but it promises to be a hard-fought series.
Look for Ottawa to get the job done in six games.

Oh yeah the Sens fans surface finally!!!
This should be a great place for some outstanding trash talking! The Sens may have the advantage, but their playoff beard depth isn't quite as strong as the Sabres. Could that be the difference?

I just hope Ottawa does not fight too dirty to make up for their lack of hockey skills. Ha ha ha ha.
Here in Buffalo we love our team and we hate yours. Our local radio station has a site called wehateyourteam.com. We state simply that we hate your team and we have a phone number for you to call if you don’t like it. They have a bit where they play the phone calls on the radio. We were very disappointed with the Islander and Rangers fans. I know Ottawa fans are a little more unruly than little NYC teams. Give us your best! GAME ONE TONIGHT BABY!!!!
Hey Bosh, thanks for having such a cool site!
