Games of the Night (and day)
Atlanta at NY Rangers 1:00 PM
Since their 7 game losing the streak, the Rangers have looked very vulnerable. Some night's they look outstanding, and other nights,...well not so much. Scoring has been an issue lately, especially for captain Jaromir Jagr who's scored only 1 goal in the last month, and fallen from the NHL scoring leaders (which is another reason why my fantasy team is crashing and burning). The Atlanta Thrashers have something in commmon with the Rangers in that they too are try to catch the red hot New Jersey Devils. New Jersey holds a one point lead over the Thrashers and the second seed in the Eastern Conference. They also have a commanding 11 point lead over the New York Rangers in the Atlantic Division. The Rangers are tied for the 8th place spot in the East with the Leafs. This game smells of desperation.
Buffalo at Montreal 7:00 PM
I don't really even need to explain this one. Every game between these two clubs has been terrific, and almost playoff calibre hockey. Expect nothing less tonight as the Montreal Canadiens appear to have bounced out of the flu bug with a solid win over Atlanta earlier this week, and regained some confidence.....and the Sabres, well they are still kicking everyone's butt this season. Last night taking down the NHL's hottest team in the Vancouver Canucks...(in fairness to the Nucks, Luongo didn't start last night...but a win's a win), the Buffalo Sabres have continued to answer the bell all season long. Habs vs. Sabs tonight!
Toronto at Pittsburgh 7:00 PM
I've always enjoyed watching the Leafs play, even when they suck. There's something about the atmosphere, the broadcast.....maybe it's the beer, who knows. In any case, as much as I enjoy a good Leafs game, that's not why I point this match out tonight. Penguins forward Sidney Crosby always seem to flourish on the big stage, and you can't get much bigger than the NHL Capital. Look for Crosby to score 4 goals tonight, including a header.
Calgary at Edmonton 10:00 PM
Battle of Alberta anyone? All Canadian broadcasts are great too, and watching an Oiler game means I get my Chicken Parm fix....man I miss that guy on NHL tonight.....but regardless, this is one of the best rivalries in hockey. Reports earlier in the week (check this out), the Flames brought up Eric Godard, and the Oilers called up Zach Stortini. Neither of these fellas is known for their offensive numbers.....in fact Stortini has over 400 penalty minutes in just over 100 games played. This game should be a bloodbath....old time hockey, puttin' on the foil!
Enjoy the games!
Your friend on ice,
Captain Bosh

Pretty good call though huh? It's amazing how good that kid is, and what he does to the players around him.
