Senators Spezza-less

Playoff Beard .com - Jason SpezzaThe Ottawa Senators have lost center Jason Spezza for the next 4-6 weeks due to a knee injury. Spezza sustained the injury after he was hit Thursday night by Tampa Bay Lightning forward Martin St. Louis.

Losing Spezza who leads the Senators with 44 points this season, is another major blow to this club that is already on a downward spiral having lost 6 of their last 8 games. The Senators number one defenceman Wade Redden has spent much of the season hurt, and is a big part of the downfall of this club (that and the loss of Chara to UFA, and not having a legitimate goaltender).

Quick Shave:
Congratulations to Peter Bondra who joined the 500 club last night. Bondra scored the game winner against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the third (big surprise there) to lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a 3-1win.

Game of the Night:
Montreal at Boston 7:00 PM
Calgary at San Jose 10:00 PM

An original six matchup that should be a great game.....the Habs are playing great and look for Chris Higgins to join the HTC against the B's.....that's a little self indulgent since i just picked him up the other day.....but the kid is good, and a local. Calgaray and San Jose, I don't really think I need to explain that one do I? Enjoy the games folks, we have a small hiatus for the Christmas break, and the NHL will resume on the 26th!

Your friend on ice,
Captain Bosh

Yep. Spezza's my main dude in one of my leagues. And there he goes for a month...Talk about some coal in my stocking.

What the heck happened to the Rangers in that game against Tampa last night? And am I crazy, or did I read that the Blues beat the Sabres? I dunno, maybe that was just the whisper of the Ghost of Christmas You Gotta Be Kidding Me.

Anyway, happy holidays to all the face fuzz freaks out there and pray for the Penguins before you say "Amen" at the table tomorrow morning.

The Rangers have begun blowing leads in the third period....I guess that's my payback for ripping on the Leafs all last month.

Happy Holidays Stache! All the best to you and your family bro.
