Ottawa signs Wade Redden
Ottawa has reportedly locked up defenceman Wade Redden to a 2 year $13 million contract, and the Senators fans can breathe a collective sigh of relief. Does this mean Chara is on his way out? Perhaps. He will most certainly seek, and find offers in the same range as Redden's deal if he isn't signed by tomorrow evening. For more on this report visit TSN.ca.
Stars waive Guerin
The only surprise here is that they didn't do this last year. Guerin will be a very affordable pickup for a team looking for a little extra offense. If he can find his game again, or learn to adapt to the new NHL then he would be a steal for someone.
Roberts wants a trade to Toronto
Apparently he wants to spend more time with his daughter. Whatever the reason, I see the Leafs jumping all over this one and trading a few first rounders in next years draft for him. Gary Roberts fits the prototypical mold of the aging, past prime, often injured, veteran type player that make up the Leafs. Expect to see him on the IR in Toronto next season.
Your friend on ice,
Captain Bosh

THANK GOD!! I'd take Redden's hockey sense anyday, you really can't get that anywhere.
