Canuck for the Luongo term
Roberto Luongo has signed a $27 million contract with Canucks for the next 4 years. The contact contains a no-trade clause, for the final three years of the deal, and grows from $6 million the first year, to $7.5 million in the final year of the contract.
Roberto Luongo, has the deal he wants, and a team that has the potential to be a Stanley Cup contender, but the big question is, can he be a big time playoff goalie? Sure he's been great playing for crappy teams, in no pressure situations, but how will he respond when facing a game 7 elimination matchup? Having never played in a playoff game for his entire career, it will be very interesting to watch first, if he can help get the Canucks into the playoffs again, and second, can he help them get out of the first round?
