The strong get stronger....The Carolina Hurricanes are really going for it this year!

Just reported by TSN, Doug Weight the St. Louis Blues leading scorer with 44 points and Erkki Rajamaki are headed to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for three draft picks and three players.

Rumors were abound that Weight would be headed to Ottawa or Vancouver, and would have to waive his no-trade clause to be dealt. He obviously felt, along with everyone else, that the Hurricanes are headed in the right direction this season.....if they weren't a favorite to win the Cup before today, they are now. Playoff Beard Alert: Doug has shown potential in the past, and now that he is on a team that will make the playoffs this year....its roast duck with mango salsa time!
